Yesterday we went and saw the boat used in the film King Kong. Check out the photos above for a quick tour. It was so old and rusty looking and very very cool. Weta had used thick black paint to cover the name of the boat, so the name you see in the photo above has been inserted by me. Not far from the boat is Peter Jackson's 'Oil Crash Dot Com' studio lot, where if you peek through the fences you can see old bridges from Lord of the Rings sitting in the parking lot and dinosaur parts and trees used in Kong. All pretty exciting!
We had our second and final antinatal class on Saturday. We learnt about post natal depression, what happens in the immediate 4 days after the birth, we heard from a new Dad and the women did some special pregnancy exercises. For the rest of the afternoon I couldn't stop thinking about the disgusting birth video we had seen straight after lunch, thus ending my ability to pay any attention at all.
Colin took us out on my birthday (Sunday) to Tulsi (Indian restaurant), then we went and saw the Kong boat over in Miramar, took some photos of Denali and I on the beaches near Seatoun, then ended the afternoon with a large slice of chocolate cake at the Chocolate Frog cafe in Miramar. Colin also took sneaky photos of interesting homes in Seatoun.
Thank you to everyone who sent presents and money and most importantly, chocolate! Sadly... no M&Ms though. Denali seems to think the baby will arrive much closer to the due date, and has a feeling it might be a couple of days overdue. So much for my wishful brithday delivery ideas. However, I am encouraging Denali to push the little blighter out as soon as possible. I am getting quite impatient.

Dad, I will send you a higher quality image of the rainbow that will fit your screen better. Check your e-mail for it soon. We just have a standard Sony 4MP camera. I doctor the images in Photoshop later on to make them look better and more colourful. The digital camera we have isn't actually that good. Although, it does take really nice photos when the light is right. It did on Sunday and the images you see have not had much done to them.
Yes, we will endeavour to get as much sleep as possible. We are going to bed pretty early now; usually around 9pm. Although, tonight I will be up much later so I can watch 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. Don't worry about buying me the King Kong DVD either. Denali got it for my birthday.
I hope in the absence of an M&M gift you bought yourself some! I accept I have lost our little wager and now realise I owe u some $$ - consider it a birthday present :)
Thanks Kate. Have you enjoyed watching Ricky Gervais' 'Extras'?
They have been a whole second series! But you have to pay for them... unless you can find a site to get them for free. I have the first episode of series two only... but I think they will have many more since then. They have also been doing a video podcast too, but I haven't tried downloading it. Must get around it to it really. When I get time I will put the 'Extras' episodes I do have onto DVD and send it down to you. I will let you know when it's done and then send it down.
Man that was a CRAP last comment!
