End of Day 2

Not a whole lot happened today. Denali still has not had much sleep. She only got 2 hours during the night and a further 3 hours during the day.

I gave Lucy a bath this morning. She cried and cried as I was undressing her, but promptly stopped as she entered the water. Pretty cool to see her enjoy it. She has quite dry skin so I have been rubbing a bit of oil into her feet, legs, hands and tummy.

Denali's pelvic pain returned today and she is on some stronger drugs now, which are making her a little queasy.

Sophie seemed to enjoy seeing Lucy again today. She soon became more interested in the cupboard in the corner though, and helped stuff it full of nappies and sheets. She then asked Betty for a kiss, then Daddy for a kiss and said "goodbye" and walked off down the hallway in search of other babies. She's walking really well now and had a big walk up and down the hallway at the hospital.

Thank you so much for all the cards, flowers and little presents you guys are bringing in when you visit. We love it and appreciate your thoughtfulness very much.

There is a window tomorrow between 10:30am and 1:30pm when neither myself nor Denali's Mum will be able to be in the hospital. If you were planning to visit tomorrow, then Denali would love to have your company during that time... unless of course she decides to try and get some sleep. Perhaps just text Denali to make sure - 027-333-1112.

Lucy was pretty calm and sleepy, so no one really took any pictures today. She's still feeding well too. I took a bit of video, but I'll wait a week or so before putting another short clip online. Glad to hear people are enjoying the photos too. I'll keep 'em coming as much as possible.

In the meantime, here's some taken yesterday that I thought some of you may like...

Just got home (10:30pm). Off to bed now. Gotta be back at the hospital by 8am for the heel prick test (Guthrie test).
