'Rope Burn' wins Audience Award

HEAT FOUR - Audience Awards
Winner - FLOATER FILMS (ROPE BURN) - GRINDHOUSE
Runner Up - FARGISH (THE STATE OF GEORGIA) - ROMANCE OR COMING OF AGE

So what this mean for our team? Absolutely nothing. Apart from a few small prizes, winning the audience award doesn't mean anything. It's still entirely up to the judges whether we make the regional finals.

For those of you in Wellington, the regional finals will screen at the Embassy Theatre on June 6th at 8pm. Tickets are available from Ticketek as of 31 May for only a WHOPPING $16. IF we make the finals, then it would be great to have some supporters in the audience, so come along! Watch the blog, though for updates.

I just hope we make it to the finals. All I really want out of this competition is the satisfaction of seeing our film screened at the Embassy Theatre. I am glad we got our film properly audio mixed, because the sound at the Embassy KICKS SERIOUS ASS!

There've been two more comments since then on the forums - in case you haven't seen them:

"YAY ROPE BURN AND FLOATER FILMS!!!"

and

"Rope Burn comes as no surprise - very well done."

If you have had trouble opening the MP4 version of Rope Burn that I emailed you, then try downloading VLC Media Player from:

Hmmm, that link didn't work. Search for 'Download VLC Media Player' on Google, and you'll find it.
