Jerry is frustrated that doctors don't recognise or understand his pain... so he KILLS THEM ALL. He meets lesbian motorcyclists on his journey, who lead him to a pregnant doctor who'll do anything to protect her baby, even cutting out Gerry's insides in a spectacle of blood. This film looks amazing, from start to finish. Great cutting, music, shots, and the final grade hammers the nail in - old school grindhouse to a tee. I was trying to think of any reason not to give this a 5, and came up short. The one to beat so far. Definite finalist, possible winner. 5/5

Just so everyone knows... these reviews were not written by the judges, but by a sort-of official reviewer for the 48hours. These people picked last years regional winner. But it's still up to the judges... and they may see things very differently, PLUS the heats are not over yet anyway. Still, it's bloody great news and very exciting.
