This is fast becoming a "brag" rather than a blog!!! But we are just so in love with our precious little girl.

Richard gave her her first bottle feed last night and she greedily slurped up 100mls. It was really nice for him to have this bonding time. She stared up at him adoringly for the whole feed.

Richard's brother Mike (Sophie's Godfather) just spent the long weekend with us. Sophie gave him lots of cuddles. Thanks again Mike for all the help and treats for us and Sophie.

As Sophie's "fairy" Godmother, Sandra (and Ross) just got engaged on the 3rd of June, Sophie and I may just have to come down to Chch sooner than expected for an engagement party. What a hassle!!!! (he he he - I am so excited for them) I am just waiting to hear when it will be and then I will be booking flights.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened at work this week.

We had some other guests from Chch (besides Mike) visit this weekend too, Kim and Bindy from Spreydon Baptist Church, who were up in Wellington on an entertainment excursion. Also, while Mike was at the Lord of the Rings exhibition Denali and I went to see Robert Rose who was also up for the National Water Polo champs. Thanks so much guys for all your wonderful cards and presents!

As Denali said above, it was really fun to bottle feed Sophie. She sure does suck! She's the biggest sucker in the house! Denali wouldn't let me wear fake boobs as a bonding exercise, but I found the bottle much easier anyway.

I took it where the Venture (King Kong boat) is tied up in Miramar. While I was there, I noticed that lights were on inside the boat. Peering in the windows of the Venture I spotted some people having a quiet drinks party. I am pretty sure Richard Taylor was in there, and Peter Jackson's car was outside, but I couldn't see him (he may have been in the toilet though). But who really cares. It's not like he has any magical powers or anything. If he did, then I probably would have hopped aboard to get his autograph or something... perhaps show him some of my boat skills. But alas, Jackson hath no magical abilities.

We have really enjoyed broadcasting Sophie over the net with our webcam. Here is a snapshot Belinda Cornish took as we chatted. This is what you too can look forward to.

So we think Denali and Sophie will go down to Christchurch sometime in July, then in August we will hopefully come down again provided I can get time off work. Till then, always remember that if your dog has an itchy bottom, don't scratch it.
