Hi everyone!!! Thank you so much for all the lovely texts, blog comments, presents you have sent and all the lovely flowers. It has been such an emotional and joyful ride over the last 24 hours and your support and prayers have certainly helped us through.

Sophie has been just wonderful today. She is feeding ok, with a little help from the midwife and she has been quite sleepy all afternoon. She slept in my arms all bundled up for two hours this afternoon, giving Denali some time to catch some sleep too.

Denali had a somewhat sleepless night due to other babies crying in her cubicle room. All the other mums in there have also had c-sections. Sophie slept right through. She has been making some really funny sounds today. She snorts like a little piglet due to the mucas still in her system, and she makes wild snuffling noises when she's about to feed. It is so cute.

Denali is still in a bit of pain after the c-section and finds it quite difficult to move about in bed, sit up or stand up. Once on her feet though, she is able to move about ok and have showers, etc...

Betty and I are still feeling a little tired, but we are over that and just enjoying having such a lovely little girl to hold. I am currently writing this from my work where I am also editing a short baby video, which I will put snippets of on this blog later on this week... or in the next few hours if all goes well.

Denali will be in the hospital all week and for those of you able to visit, she is in Ward 12 at Wellington Hospital. Sorry that we have been unable to reply to all your texts and blog comments. We will reply as we can.

Once again, thank you for thinking of us and I hope you enjoy the photos of Sophie's second day.

Just so everyone knows, this blog will not update itself each time you visit it. Sometimes you may have to refresh your browser to see the updates. For those of you who cannot wait to see lots of baby photos, please assume that a new post will be addded at the end of each day.

Yes, it is work's (somewhat faulty) XL1s. I wanted to bring in a DigiBeta, but I am glad I didn't when I saw the size of Denali's cubicle!
