Denali IS DEFINITELY IN LABOUR!

This is it... it's 4am Monday morning, 15th May 2006. Denali has been in labour for about 3 hours now. Her contractions are about 6-8 mins apart and are not painful at all yet. We have just spoken with the midwife who has advised us not to go into the hospital until the contractions are 3-5 mins apart and PAINFUL. Well, better get back to her. We are all very excited here! This will be the only blog update before the birth. The next time we write, we will be parents. WHOOOHOOO!

good one Phil! (uncle)
Don't panic, don't panic! Just boil the water and get lots of towels and string. Well--- thats what they used to do in the movies so it must be right.
I'll let the Prime Minister know- as this is definitely national news- or should that be Labour news.
Praying for you- ALL DAY!
Love Poppa Don and Super gran, or Nana or Gran and Grandy- we don't know what!

I will be posting photos and videos on this blog once the baby is born... obviously. We are off to the hospital in about 2 hours time for some baby monitoring. All very exciting!

Well, it is now 9:15pm. Betty (Denali's Mum) and I have just returned home from the hospital. Denali is staying the night there and will be induced at 8am tomorrow morning IF nothing happens during the night. We are tired and very much looking forward to holding and cuddling the new baby. Thank you everyone for your supportive texts and blog comments. I know that Denali really appreciates them and has heard or read each one. Depending on how things go tomorrow I will endeavour to place the first images of the baby on this blog and later on this week you will be able to view a video too (BUT NOT OF THE BIRTH!).

Denali will hopefully be enjoying a much needed restful sleep right now, which I am going to head off and do myself.

Please pray for Denali, Betty and I.
