Denali's Mum, Betty came to stay with us from Thursday last week. It was fantastic having her up here because she really looked after us both... especially me and my appetite. Betty and Denali spent 5 days 'playing' in Wellington - shopping, cafes, sightseeing and visiting old friends.
I worked.
Also, on Sunday we had Sandra and Ross over for lunch, which was a real laugh... not because they look funny, but because Ross was quite tired for some reason and found the idea of my brother being sprayed down in a communist swimming pool in Mongolia rather hillarious! (Sorry Kris... but I have to share some of your stories with other people - things like that just don't happen to us here).
Easter is upon us again as it inevitably is every year. Now that Shortland St has begun preaching the gospel, I wonder if I should attend church over Easter. Will they have an Easter Shotland St special? Who knows. Tomorrow's message is about why Christ uttered the words 'Father, why have you forsaken me?' Check it out if you don't believe me... it is really quite bizzarre.
Denali is researching related physical oddities associated with pregnancy at the moment. For example... why in the middle of the night (3:47am to be exact) does she feel the need to vigourously kick and thrash her legs around in the bed and catapult the duvet onto the floor, thus leaving my quivering flesh exposed to the cool night air? Well, it is because some pregnant women get 'twitchy leg syndrome', a natural part of pregnancy whereby your legs feel really itchy and...twitchy.
Ridiculous.
Work: Work is busy. Editing is hard. Thank you Lord for hot chocolate and chocolate caramel slice.
OK, that's it from us for another week. No photos this time I am sorry. Despite all our guests, we forgot to snap away for your entertainment. For those of you working at Easter Camp, all the best, go nuts, stay awake and kick some ass (in a spiritual sense). Especially for Kirk... dude, I hope everything goes smoothly and you manage to successfully pull-off a spectacular show. Doug... have fun shooting all the kids.
-Rich.
HOUSEKEEPING: Because some people find that our website loads quite slowly due to all the photos, I have set the website to only display the most recent 3 posts. To view previous posts, check the archives to the right, or the 'previous posts', also to the right. Also, you no longer need to become a MEMBER to post comments on this site. Anyone can now do it simply by clicking the 'comments' link at the bottom of each post.
