First week in Wellington nearly over

Firstly... Wellington is a fantastic, vibrant city and I know that Denali and I will thoroughly enjoy it here. Work is going OK so far, but I have a very steep learning curve to overcome before the current senior editor departs for Earth's media center - Dubai. The Avids are powerful machines and I am working with about three different Avids at once. My main set up is being upgraded to an Adrenalin soon and we might be moving premises too - perhaps closer to Te Papa... but all this is still up in the air at the moment.

It takes about 25mins to take the train in to work each day, then I have a lovely walk across the waterfront to Kent Tce, where Propeller Productions is situated. The team is great and on my first day I was introduced to the work environment when they were at their busiest... and it was fine. So I finished quite late with the others, but pretty much after 5:30pm - if you're still working, then you can kick back with a beer or whatever and just work as best you can to get the job done.

I am staying with family friends- The Eleys, whose address is 30 Orissa Cr, Johnsonville, Wellington (for those of you who need it). They have a huge house, and have given me two rooms to use... one as a bedroom and the other to set up my computer system. Liz is a great cook and I have arrived home feeling quite ravenous each night because of the hard slog up the hill each night to their home.

I am using their computer at the moment, which I cleaned out for them after I found over 300 viruses, trojans, adware, and other infections throughout their system... because of bloody limewire!!!

Denali has sold the old Mitsubishi Mirage tonight.... and her tummy is getting bigger everyday. She told me tonight that her belly is so big that she couldn't get into the car today because someone had parked too close and she couldn't squeeze through the gap.

Cheers to Doug for the 4:30am Denny's breakfast on Tuesday morning! Also, thanks to Katie for
making me feel missed the other day... as you can see in the photo.
