Sorry for the delayed updates. I have returned to work now and have been too tired and busy to update this blog.
Lucy and Denali are doing well, although both are ridiculously sleepy. Lucy seems to sleep a lot during the day and then suffers bad stomach pains at night, which has me up for 1 hour - 1.5 hour stints trying to calm her down and get rid of any burps she might have. Denali has also had to stay up a lot during the night trying to deal with the screaming 'bundle of joy'.
Lucy seems to be getting better though, and is easing into a consistent 3 hourly feeding cycle, which means more sleep for us.
Her skin has cleared up now, although she still gets a few blotches appearing when she gets really upset and stressed.
Lucy now weighs 4.2kg, down from 4.33kg - a normal drop in weight for a newborn.
Sophie has really taken to Lucy. She loves cuddling and kissing her and holding her in the mornings. She gets really upset when we take Lucy away from her. It's lovely to see. We haven't spotted too much rough play yet, although Sophie has been told several times to stop trying to touch Lucy's eyes! I have also noticed that Sophie seems to pinch Lucy a bit too, just to see how soft she really is. Otherwise, Sophie is a real gem and has been really gentle with her.
I took Sophie and Lucy down to feed the ducks today. Sophie and I also went for a swim at Pioneer Pool. She hated it, so I think a few more visits are in order to help her get used to swimming.
It was Denali's 30th birthday on Friday. Her big present from me is a new road bike. She really wants to get back into her fitness as soon as her c-section wounds have healed. We'll also do something real special for her when she's able to get out more to properly celebrate the 3rd decade of her life.
That's all from us this week. Enjoy the photos below!

Carys, Balala, Gaga, Twit and Leslie took Sophie to the Teddy Bears Picnic at Hagley Park while Denali was in hospital.
