OFFICIAL COUNTDOWN TO TRANSFORMERS PREMIERE!

It is not long until I will be sitting happily on my ass with a bag of M&Ms watching the midnight premiere of Transformers. I will soon become a born-again reformed transformers fan.

Neil and I will begin our journey on Tuesday night by watching the original animated Transformers movie (1986). On that night we will also make t-shirts bearing outstanding home-made transformers imagery and prepare our transformers badges for optimal exposure.

The premiere is THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT at MIDNIGHT... or Thursday morning at 12:01am depending on how you want to look at it. Neil and I will proudly don our t-shirts and badges and make our eager way to the Embassy Theatre. We plan to arrive early to ensure that our entrance to the theatre is a relaxed one. We don't want to pop a blood vessel from over excitement you see.

Then, on Thursday evening Neil and I will take eight other reformed transformers fans to a 6pm session at the Embassy. After that, Neil and I may or may not go and see Transformers for a third time at the Reading immediately after.

It's going to be amazing. My attitude toward the film is this - I acknowledge that it is a major Hollywood block/ball-buster of a film. Therefore, the story will probably be shallower than a pigmy's paddling pool. I also accept that I am going... potentially three times in 24 hours purely to see amazing special effects. I know that the special effects will not disappoint, therefore I know I will not be disappointed by the film. Thus, any ounce of a good story and any hint of good acting will only heighten the enjoyability of this particular movie-going experience. Given the cast, it is impossible for the acting to be so incredibly bad that it demolishes the film. Given the Transformers story and premise it is impossible for executive producer Steven Spielberg and director Michael Bay to monumentally screw it up... at least not in the way Spiderman 3 was.

It's a fail safe.

p.s. Check out this sweet music video of Soundwave breakdancing!!

And this has nothing to do with Transformers... BUT IT IS THE BEST DAMN 5 SECONDS YOU'LL EVER WATCH ON THE INTERNET!

And click HERE to watch that 'World of Rope' I had recommended in a previous post. The team had taken the video off Youtube because they were a runner up in the 48 Hour competition. They are unfortunately out of the running now and have put the video back on Youtube.
