Hello Denali here, just a few quick comments about our trip to Christchurch. Sophie's first plane trip was a breeze. She slept the whole way there and fed the whole way back - no sore ears from the pressure at all. It was so lovely to catch up with everyone. It is a shame that we live so far away now and we can't just pop round and catch up any old time - it feels further than it really is now that I am back here (I am enjoying Wellington too though).

However, flights are so CHEAP with Air New Zealand's 'Grab-a-seat' fares. Check them out HERE. My flights only cost me $78 return!

Sophie got so many cuddles from all her new friends and family. Apart from missing some sleeps during the day and being a little over tired and grizzley on the first evening she didn't even notice the change in routine or bed. Mom's neighbour supplied us with a porta-cot and buggy that made our baggage so much lighter and easier to manage.

She is getting stronger and can lift her head heaps more when she is on her tummy and holds it up really well when she is being cuddled. She held on to a toy for the first time when we were playing in the sun at my parents' place.

The bee takes a pummelling

I really enjoyed being in Chch again for the first time since we moved up to Wellington at the end of March. I didn't catch up with everyone that I would have liked to but I will be down again soon - September 11th -16th....(Ryan you get to cuddle Sophie lots then).

It was great to be able to go to Sandra's engagement party and celebrate with her and Ross. I really can't wait for their wedding now. Richard and I have booked our flights down already!!! I managed to squeeze into a lovely bridesmaid dress and can see that a few sit ups are in order before December.

Richard missed us lots and lots, but seemed to occupy himself with an overdose of films, and won't shut-up about Superman Returns. He will be in Auckland for two days next week doing some more directing work, this time for National Bank filming a behind-the-scenes video of their latest ad. WHOEVER HEARD OF DOING THAT!

p.s. Richard says the TOP 10 and this week's COMPETITION are coming soon!
