Competition WINNER!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Congratulations to Philip Lord of Christchurch for winning this week's competition. YOU are the new INTERNET SPACE CAPTAIN!

As you may have noticed I have stopped announcing when the next competitions will be. This is primarily because I cannot be bothered, so I think I just continue posting them at random.

In other Blog news, I have another interactive idea for YOU to get involved with.

This time, it is called 'Biggus Films'.

The idea is that at the beginning of each month I will put up a specific film GENRE (e.g. horror, action, romance), PROP and LINE of DIALOGUE that you have to use in the "film".

Then, YOU have ON
E WEEK to make a very short story on whatever you like following those guidelines.

It's much like the 48Hour Film Competition, except you have ONE WEEK to do it! You can use whatever you like to make your story (your digital photo camera, video camera, webcam, etc...) and you can do it in any format (flash animations, power point etc... just whatever you can do best).

I will then upload all of the "films" to this blog for people to view. Then, we vote on which one is best. The winner will receive a grand prize of some sort and there will be prizes for second and third places and best use of prop, dialogue and sticking to the genre. I am not expecting you to make anything stunning... just something that is creative. The competition is open to international submissions.

You will need to deliver the final film or story to me, either on DVD, via e-mail or simply send up your finish product on Mini DV tape. This will be the tricky part of the whole process, so please e-mail me if you are having problems and I can help you out. I will enter the competition too (but will not be eligible to win).

The genre, prop and dialogue for this month's BIGGUS FILMS competition will be posted soon.

You will have until AUG 19 to make your film. I will make all this clearer in the next post about the inaugural Biggus Film competition.
