Sophie at 8 weeks old

Pirate of the Change Table

We took Sophie to her first educational art exhibition 'Constable' at Te Papa on Sunday afternoon. She slept the whole time, but Denali and I really enjoyed it. While we looked around this crazy woman kept following us and stood in front of each painting, blocking our view. It was so annoying and she made weird snuffling noises. Very odd indeed. Also, security at Te Papa told us we couldn't take our baby bag into the exhibition because we "...might steal a painting or bring in dangerous weapons." Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Sophie has become much more responsive to our voices and touch and smiles now. She is gooing and gaaing away happily everyday and will sometimes imitate the noises we make. It is so cute when she does it. We cannot wait to hear what her voice will sound like when she starts talking. She still sleeps soundly through the night, which is wonderful for Denali and I. Denali went and bought a whole lot of real cute, cheap clothes from Savemart the other day. Here is a photo collage of her wee fashion show.

We have started sanding down my Great Granny's cot that Mum brought up. We started sanding it on what would have been her 110th birthday. Don't know how long it will take to finish, but with my painting and sanding skills... it could be a while.

Sanding like there's no tomorrow

We got up early yesterday morning to watch the soccer World Cup final. It was so exciting! I had to leave before the end though to get to work on time (arriving 45mins late!), so I missed the penalty shoot-out.

This week's INTERNET SPACE CAPTAIN competition will begin on WEDNESDAY 12th JULY at 5pm. It is once again open to international competitors. More instructions later.

I am teaching her the vowel sounds at the moment... but I suppose I could fit other words into her tight training schedule.

How do you make the photos go into a collage like that?
The constable photos are appreciated- great thanks. And Sophie looks like she enjoyed being changed into all the clothes. She's looking more grown up in the dresses.

I used photoshop to line the photos up. It is one whole image, rather than separate images placed next to eachother.
