Last week was insanely busy at work as we raced to finished off a job for Mainland. I worked on Sunday too, which means I get this Friday off. FANTASTIC! We would have liked to go away for a long weekend, but Denali has Plunket and other things happening on Friday, so we will head out to the Wairarapa on Saturday.
I will be in Christchurch for one day shooting a video for Lucent Technology on Tuesday next week. They are building a technology bus down there and then taking it up to Wellington. Myself and cameraman David Paul will film the assembly of the bus in Christchurch, then perhaps part of its journey as it travels up through Kaikoura. The remainder of the shoot is in Wellington. Not sure whether I will get time to see anyone while we're there, but I will certainly do my best.
We have Fi and Pete (friends of Denali and her parents) from Christchurch staying with us at the moment.
Denali and Sophie have been enjoying the fine weather Wellington has had over the last couple of days. They have been for long walks across the waterfront, around Petone and all manner of places that I can't remember. We were discussing last night the list of terrible things we have absent mindedly done to Sophie in her first 8 weeks of life. Thankfully the list is only TWO items long.
1. I left the heater on FULL in Sophie's room before she went to sleep. I did this after changing her at midnight. I turned the heater on to rapidly heat the room because it was quite cold. Unfortunately I was half asleep myself and Sophie woke up at 4am screaming. Denali raced into her 'oven' and ripped off her bedsheets and promptly stripped Sophie down to cool her off. She was fine after about 10mins and was soon smiling away again. The heat from her room warmed up the rest of the house.
2. Denali put too many heavy items in her bag, which she hangs over the buggy's handlebars. This caused the buggy to topple backwards, almost sending Sophie flying onto the pavement. Sophie just woke up, looked around and went back to sleep again. Hmmpff.

Ohh she's so beautiful. I like the photo in the top right hand corner in her pink skirt. Do you mind sending me that one separately. Love Helen

You will have to e-mail Denali about that. She is more likely to use the webcam than me during the day... but I will see what I can do when I get home tonight.
