Mongols return home

A smitten Grandma

Sophie meets her Mongolian Grandparents for the first time

Kris and Sophie

On Thursday, Denali's Mum Betty came to stay with us for 3 days on a whirlwind cuddle-the-baby visit before she leaves for Scotland in 9 days.

Also, my parents and Kris returned from Mongolia yesterday afternoon to meet Sophie for the first time. They are staying in Wellington this week, then head down to snow-white Christchurch until July 8. It's great to finally have them in Wellington to meet our little girl.

Sophie is still growing well. She is now just over 5kg and the diameter of her head has increased by 1cm.

Sophie shows off her muscular endowment

She has started to imitate us a little bit now too. Usually when we smile at her, poke out our tongues or shut our eyes. Although, these could all be entirely coincidental.

We think her favourite toy at the moment is her Elmo doll. She stares at it lots and pokes her tongue out at it too.

Also, Elmo has started appearing during feeding times... which is sometimes a little unsettling... for Denali.

Denali is lookin good and feelin good... most of the time anyway. She has booked her plane ticket to Christchurch already. She'll be there from July 27th - 31 July and cannot wait to catch up with you all.

Today we have Anna, Vicki and Jack Lord visiting this afternoon along with Juliet and Matt Black.

We took the opportunity to take a photo of the baby trio. We were hoping for a simultaneous puking event, but it never happened.

OK, must go and make sure that my Mum hasn't left for Mongolia with Sophie already!
