Denali and I spent about 4 hours down at the harbour today watching the National Dragonboat Races. Steve's team came a very close second to St Bedes. Denali and I screamed our lungs out for his team... but could not match the decibel level reached by some of the women standing behind us who left us both with rather sore ears. Anyway, Steve's team did very well and they gave the winning team an honourary (sp?) haka, which looked awesome. Check out the above photos of the race.
We also celebrated our 1st year wedding aniversary (delayed) by having lunch out at the Chocolate Fish Cafe in Seatoun. The food and service were marvellous and we will certainly take you there, should you happen to visit us.
Denali heads home to Chch tonight, but will return this Sunday to Wellington as we move into our newly rented house.
